The Online Ministry Checklist.
The weekly routine that makes sure the people watching from home are welcomed, heard, and prayed for: the chat host, the welcome loop, prayer requests, the crisis path, and a one-page weekly report. Hand it to your online host, and tape a copy next to the booth checklist.

Church Date Online host
Our stream exists to (one sentence, said from memory):
Before Sunday
- Online host and a backup are scheduled and confirmed
- Prayer link tested end to end: a test request reached a named person
- Welcome loop updated with today's slide, service times, and the prayer link
- Pastor knows the story of the day and plans to welcome people at home by name
- End-of-service slide shows ONE next step, not five
Doors open online
- Welcome loop running with countdown and audio (no black screen, no silence)
- Online host in the chat with welcome and first-time messages ready to paste
- Host has a direct line to the booth for tech problems

During the service
- Every viewer who says hello gets a reply, by name
- Online viewers welcomed from the stage in the first few minutes
- "Need prayer?" lower third shown during the welcome and before the sermon
- Wide and congregation shots used, so home viewers see a church, not just a stage
- Anything personal moved from public chat to private care
If someone discloses a crisis
- Acknowledge with compassion, briefly
- Move to a private message immediately
- Signal the designated pastoral responder
- Stay with the person until the responder takes over
- Share crisis resources (US: call or text 988 · immediate danger: 911)
After the service
- Every prayer request acknowledged personally, by a named person
- Clip moments noted for Monday
- Team asks: what story did we tell today?

Why these exact steps?
Each line comes from a short guide with the full reasoning: the purpose statement, the welcome loop, the chat host role and crisis path, the prayer request workflow, and the six-metric weekly report. Not sure where to start? Run the 30-minute pathway audit first.
And the booth side can stop being manual: WorshipMetrics monitoring alerts your team the moment the stream or recording stops, so the people in the booth can watch the people at home. Service Metrics puts in-person and online attendance on one dashboard, so most of Monday's report fills itself in.
