Questions about the checkup
How do I know what's wrong with our church AV system?
Sort the problems into three kinds: people (only one or two can run it, volunteers are stressed), process (nothing is written down, no checklist, problems found after the service), and equipment (the same device keeps failing, the computer struggles, the internet is too slow). Most churches have a mix, and the biggest one tells you where to start.
Should we fix our church AV system or replace it?
Fix it if the problems are mostly people and process, or a few specific devices. Plan a replacement if key equipment can't be repaired, the system can't do what you need even when it works, or you're remodeling or moving. Even then, document what you have first so the new system fixes the right problems.
